If none of the keys respond when typing on the Corsair K100 Air Wireless keyboard, this troubleshooting page may provide a solution.
Keyboard Isn't Charged
The Corsair K100 Air Wireless features a rechargeable battery with up to 200 hours of life. Ensure the keyboard is connected to a USB port, and try different ports to charge the device. The battery level should be indicated on the keyboard.
Misplaced Receiver
The USB receiver may be at fault, as it connects the keyboard to the device. Turn on your keyboard and attempt to connect to the USB receiver. If this does not work, continue to the next step. If the keyboard still does not work, you may need to order a new receiver from Corsair or another authorized retailer.
Software Glitch
First, ensure the firmware is up to date, as outdated firmware can cause a faulty connection. If this does not work, unplug the keyboard, hold down the ESC key, and plug it back in while still holding the ESC key. Wait about 5 seconds to see if the keyboard light flashes, indicating a successful reset. If this doesn't work either, you may need to reach out to Corsair for further assistance.
Bluetooth is connected to the wrong device
The keyboard supports Bluetooth pairing with up to 3 host devices. If there are issues connecting via Bluetooth, you may need to switch or connect to a new host mode. First, initiate Bluetooth pairing on the host device, such as a phone or tablet (Bluetooth 4.0 or higher). Start the Bluetooth pairing using the shortcuts provided in this link. Input the code from the Bluetooth device screen on the keyboard if requested. When pairing completes, the wireless indicator (D) turns solid blue/cyan/magenta for 3 seconds.
Firmware is Out of Date
To update the firmware, ensure the keyboard is connected to a PC via USB. Install and open the Corsair iCUE software on your PC. Select the device you are updating, then select "Device Settings" and "Check for Updates." If the firmware is shown as up to date, select "Force Update" to apply the most recent update. If provided by Corsair support, and if an update is available, click "Browse for Firmware" to download the file. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.
Dead Battery
If the battery level indicator is not displaying properly, or the keyboard does not function properly or at all when disconnected from the charger, the keyboard can no longer hold a charge, indicating a battery issue; you may need to replace the battery. Follow this guide for instructions to replace the battery.
Keycap or Spring Failure
A hardware failure (such as broken keys) may be the reason for unresponsive keys. If this is the case, you may need to replace the individual faulty keys or key springs.
