Trouble Connecting to Wi-Fi
Echo Dot will not connect to Internet
Device is Experiencing an Interference
Your Echo Dot may not be connecting to the internet because it is experiencing an interference. Interferences can occur if the echo dot is too far from your Wi-Fi router so it should be placed within 30 feet. Your device may also face interference if it is too close to other electronic devices such a microwave.
Internet Connection is Lost
If your device is still not connecting to Wi-Fi you may be experiencing a network issue. Check to see if your other devices are connected to the internet. If not unplug your Echo Dot and restart your router by pressing the reset button or unplugging the router then plug both your echo dot and router back in. Once the router has successfully rebooted your echo dot should connect.
If you have recently changed your Wi-Fi password, update the Wi-Fi settings for your Echo Dot in the Alexa app. Finally if your device is still having connection issues restart your Echo Dot
Difficulty Pairing to Bluetooth Device
Echo dot will not pair with Bluetooth device
Device is Already Connected
Check to see that neither the Echo dot or the device you are trying to pair it with are already paired with another device. If they are, disconnect and then try again to pair the desired device with the Echo dot.
Excessive Device Pairing
Having multiple devices paired with the Echo dot can cause it to slow down and result in issues when trying to pair a new device. Try un-pairing some of the devices not in use so the you may add a new device.

Disconnecting Device in the App
Check to see if the device is connected in the Alexa app. If so, in the app select your Echo dot and go to Bluetooth devices. Select the device you want to remove and then select remove device. Repeat for all of the devices you want to remove.
Lack of Control Over Lights
Can not control the lights on Echo Dot
Lights Are Broken
If both the app is fully functional, and the Echo Dot's other functions are fine, the lights themselves may be damaged. Chat with Amazon tech support to troubleshoot from there.
App Not Connected
Check to see that the Echo Dot is connected to the App. If not, open the Alexa app. Go to more and select Add a Device. Select Amazon Echo Dot and follow the instructions.
App Needs Update
Check to see if the Alexa app needs to be updated on your Bluetooth device. If so, update the app on your Bluetooth device.
Main Board is Broken
If both the app is fully functional, and the Echo dot's other functions are not fully working, the mainboard may be damaged. Try replacing it with this Amazon Echo Dot 3rd Generation Main Board Replacement guide.
Speaker Stops Working
There is no sound coming from the Echo dot when there should be

Volume is not Turned Up
Check to see if the volume is up on the device. If not, use the plus (+) button to turn the device volume up.

i hav echo dot 3rd generation that is not connecting with my fone its keeep on say your device is not regestered help me guys im stuck.......

Echo is only connected without internet. I've tried rebooting a couple times. It just won't work.

Ugh! I feel your frustrations! My echo dot 3 was working fine yesterday and later in the same day just stopped nothing is showing no lights and I chatted with a technician and was advised after trouble shooting that it's done. I have to purchase a new one.
