Phone is Slow
Phone is functioning at a slower pace than anticipated.
Too Many Apps Running Simultaneously
If your phone is slow or jumpy, otherwise known as "laggy", it could be that you have too many apps running at the same time. Try the following actions to help with app management:
- Clear recent apps from running in the background: Press the button on the bottom right corner of the front of the screen that resembles cascading windows. From there, you can either close out each application individually by pressing the "X" icon at the top-right of each window individually, or press the bottom-right button with three boxes and a "X" icon to close all the applications at once.
- Use "Auto-start Manager" and stop unwanted background processes from starting up upon powering on: Open up the Auto-start Manager application. From there you can go into the "preloaded" and "downloaded" sections to determine which applications you would prefer to not start up automatically, and then ensure these applications are set to "deny."
- If you're running a high-performance app, try enabling the Performance Mode: Start by going into your settings. From there, select "Power management" and then select "Power Saver." Next, select "Performance."
Phone Requires a System Restart
If managing your apps does not help with the phone's slowness, try a system restart. To restart your phone, press and hold down the power button (located at the top of your phone) for a short period of time until a menu appears with a restart option. If that doesn't work, you can just press and hold down the power button until it turns off, and then push the power button again to turn it back on.
If you've encountered a positive experience from pursuing the above, then it would be a good idea to restart the phone daily.
