If the battery will not charge or the device will not even turn on when connected to power, the battery is probably faulty. In order to correct this you will need to replace the battery.

Tablet is not charging
Your device will not charge while connected to power.
Bad cable connection
If the device is not charging, inspect the cables. Check to make sure the pins on each end of the cable are clean and free of debris. Also inspect the inside of the charging port for debris.
Faulty or broken charger
If the device is still not charging, try using a different cable. If the device now charges, you probably have a bad cable/ charger. If the device still does not charge, continue to the next section.
Shifted charging port
The charger plugs in but it feels loose and like it is not fully in connection with the pins. This may be caused by a disconnect of the charging port. You should leave the device plugged in to make sure that it isn't actually charging. If it will not turn on, you should take it apart and see if the connections on the charging port are firmly connected to the motherboard.
The guide to replace ASUS PadFone X charging port can be found here.
No audio or distorted audio
Your device appears to work however; no sound comes out from the speaker or headphones.
Volume is on mute
Press the volume button on the right side of the device to increase the volume. If the button does not work, go to Settings. Tap on the option Sound followed by Volume. This gives you control over the buttons. You can also tap the AudioWizard from the All apps screen. It allows you to customize the sound modes of your PadFone for clearer audio. In the AudioWizard window, select the sound mode according to your preference.
Temporary software glitch
Try restarting your device and then adjust the volume button a few times. It is possible that this problem is software related. Make sure to check your apps to see if one of your apps just went through an update. If your phone has yet to release an update, it is likely that the update you did has broken it. Try uninstalling the apps and downloading them again. Check the sound again to see if that application was the root of the issue.
You can also perform a hard reset. WARNING! Hard Reset will erase all of your data! All operations you complete at your own risk. Firstly, turn off the phone by holding the Power Button. After that, hold down Volume Down + Power Button at the same time for few seconds. A menu with two options will appear on the screen. The upcoming steps will require you to use Volume Button to scroll and Power button to select. Choose “Enter recovery model”. Afterwards, select “Wipe data / Factory reset” and press “Power rocker” for confirmation. Then choose “Yes—delete all user data”. To restart the phone, select “reboot system now”. The hard reset has just been performed. Restart the device.
If you still cannot hear any audio, we recommend you replace the speaker. It could be that the speaker hardware is broken.
The guide to replace ASUS PadFone X Mini Speaker can be found here.
If the sound comes out through the PadFone station’s main speaker but does not come out through headphones, try plugging them into another device that has the 2.5 mm jack. If you cannot hear any audio when using your headphones with a different device, you have found the source. You need new headphones.
Device paired with other device via Bluetooth
It is possible that the headphone jack is disabled. To fix this, go to the Settings app, slide the Bluetooth switch to the left to turn it off. Test it again with the headphones plugged in.
Dirt in the audio jack
Check if the jack is clean. If they are not, this just might be the cause of the problem, as it can actually block the connection between the headphones and the jack. First thing to do is rub a cotton swab with alcohol and push it gently into the jack. Swirl it around a little bit to get the dirt and dust out. After you’re done, try plugging in your headphones.
Bad audio jack
It is possible that the headphone jack is broken or damaged. We recommend you to replace the headphone jack.
Camera won’t take picture/video
Your phone will power on, but the camera features are not working as you expected.
Try the following steps. Check whether it fixed the issue. If not, try the next step.
1. Restart you phone
The first thing you can do is turn off the device and turn it back on. If the camera isn’t working, go to “Setting”, select on “Apps & notifications” followed by “App info”. Find “Camera” app then click on “Storage and memory”. Choose “Clear Chache”. Do not worry! This method will only remove junk files and they are safe to delete. Try relaunching the Camera app again.
2. Check if the camera app is updated to the latest version
If the message still pops up every time you launch the app, check to see if the camera app needs to be updated. Open the “Google Play Store”, tap “Menu” followed by “My apps and games”. Apps with an update available are labelled “Update”. If you see “Camera” app with “Update” label, select “Update”. Restart your device once it has updated then open the Camera app.
3. Check if the device has software problem
If the camera still does not work, do a hard reset. It means there is a problem with either the software or the hardware. We will start with the software problem.WARNING! Hard Reset will erase all of your data!! Make sure you have it backed-up. Check if other apps are causing the problem
Device storage is full
From the home screen, drag down from the Notifications bar. Tap on “Settings” icon and select “Storage”. You can see available internal memory space listed under Internal Storage while available memory card space under SD card. If the both storages are full, there’s a high chance that you need to quickly free up some space. First thing you can do is transfer all the old photos and videos that you have onto your computer. You can also upload them to the cloud. I’d recommend Google Photos or Dropbox as they offer unlimited storage space. Next step you might want to consider is deleting unused apps and old message threads. Those can use space up to 5GB. To remove an app from the device, from the home screen, tap the apps icon. Touch the desired app and drag it to “Uninstall”, then release. Press “OK” for confirmation. The app will stop running on your phone.
There are some cases where the phone storage is full but your SD card still has more space. To fix this problem, simple click “Apps” on “Setting” window. Select “Camera” app and choose “Move to SD Card” option. The application will be shifted to SD card automatically. Relaunch the camera app to see if it can take photos now.
You have to use a blower to blow off all the dust and smudge. You can also clean the camera lens with damp microfiber cloth. Wipe them off gently. Avoid using tissues like Kleenex as these can break or leave scratches during the cleaning process.
Your camera is probably damaged or broken and needs replacement.

Screen is cracked
A cracked screen doesn't always need to be replaced. If the screen is fully functioning the screen may be left alone, but leaving a screen cracked can cause further damage later on. To fix a cracked screen you need to replace the screen altogether.

Display looks black and blurry
1. Check Screen for Cracks
The screen may be cracked and that may cause display anomalies. Cracks that cause these issues are typically small and in the corners of the screen. If there are no cracks then the problem must be something internal
2. Check Display Cables
There are cables that connect the screen to the internals to provide power. There is a chance dropping or shaking the device might loosen these cables. You will need to take the screen apart and make sure these cable connections are tight. To do this, follow the screen replacement guide until the connection of the cables and ensure they're done properly.
