Again, the old $99 Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter is still usable with the new Mac mini. Thunderbolt embeds Mini DisplayPort. And the physical ports are compatible without any adapters needed, so you can directly plug the DisplayPort cable into the mini's Thunderbolt port. In the meantime Apple published this which should make it clear: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4806 Dual-Link DVD means it supports by nature the old Cinema Display with 2560x1600 pixels (any DVI display with that resolution).
There is a (very special) SATA connector on the logic board, but it doesn't do anything for us as long there's no source for the required logic-board-to-SATA cable. Adding a second drive without this special cable isn't possible.
