Hey Colton, The first thing I would try would be resetting the SMC (System Management Controller). The SMC detects if your MacBook Pro’s lid is closed and it also controls your thermal management system and your battery on your MacBook Pro. The signs that show you may need to reset the SMC on your device are the following: (1) Your MacBook Pro was closed but was still turning on. (2) Your MacBook Pro gets very hot. Hope that was helpful! Please comment if you have any questions or comments about this post.
I researched a little bit more and the t con board doesn’t seem to be the problem here. T con board failures usually result in a discolored and noisy screen. This seems to be the panel. You could attempt a t con board replacement for your model as they don’t seem very expensive but that doesn’t seem to be the problem. I recommend purchasing a new TV or trying something else. If you want to attempt the replacement, I do have a few things to help you out. Remember, attempt at your own risk: (1) Here is a helpful video that shows you how to replace the t con board on your specific Vizio TV: https://youtu.be/hmZEtB9ePjg. This video also shows to replace other components on your TV also by the way. (2) Also, search on Amazon for a t con board for your TV model. Hope that helped!
If you’re never going to use the old one again and you want to get rid of it, here are some options: (1) If you want to do the responsible thing and recycle it, go over to Apple’s website to check out their Apple GiveBack program. Get an estimate to see how much you can receive if you recycle your MacBook Pro. (2) You can’t sell the device as it has been water damaged. Water damage renders the device basically useless. This is because water damage usually damages most of the components inside of the device.
There could be many issues with your device. Your proximity sensor may be experiencing an issue. The proximity sensor is the sensor on your device that detects how close your phone is to an object. This allow the display to turn off and on. Your display could have a loose connection or may not be working correctly. This could be due to any type of damage. Have you damaged this device in any way?
Hello, This probably isn’t a battery issue. Inside of the device there may be a connector that is damaged. The screen may also have been damaged or isn’t working properly. I recommend backing up files somehow and checking the display connection. Then, you might want to see if there is any damage to the display. Although, I do find it strange that the device is not turning off, the connectors may be damaged for some reason. Hope that helped!
Hello! This could be a battery issue. You may want to replace your battery. Usually if the device doesn’t turn on after you have reset the SMC, you are experiencing a major hardware issue. A battery replacement should do the trick. Good luck!
Hello Aaron, I also have AirPods and they definitely are difficult products to deal with if they aren’t working properly. Try to hard reset the device. First, put the AirPods in the case. Hold the button on the back for 3-5 seconds. The light should then begin blinking orange. Close the case and then go to your iPhone or iPad’s Bluetooth settings. Tap “Forget Device” in the AirPods section. After you have reset it, hold the AirPods up to your iPhone or iPad to reconnect them. If this doesn’t work, hold the button on the back of the case until the light begins flashing white. The AirPods should show up on your devices screen. Tap “Connect” to connect your AirPods to your Apple device. Hopefully that helps!
You can replace the screen if you would like. iFixit sells replacement screens. They are used, but they have been tested. Make sure you purchase them fast though because currently there are only a few used ones left. This should fix the display issue.
Unfortunately, a screen replacement is very difficult because the screen is stuck on the device. You can probably send it in for a repair but is most likely going to be very expensive due to its repair process.
