Sounds like a kernel panic, I had about 9 months ago on my MacBook. It could be easy to fix, or in my case I needed to reformat the hard drive and reinstall the OS. Anyways first off, did you upgrade the ram? If so try putting the old ram back in and restart. If the ram trick dosen't work use these apple articles: Mac OSX 10.5 http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?... Mac OSX 10.4 http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?... Mac OSX 10.3 & Earlier http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1411 You may also want to take a look at this article (more complex) http://www.thexlab.com/faqs/kernelpanics... Hope This Helps!

I have an airport express and it was almost touching my modem and it would cut out in some spots like you say yours is. If you have anything that may be causing interference with your airport extreme just try moving it. Also how old is your airport extreme and do you have any wireless home phones that are 2.4GHZ because those may be causing interference. Here's an article that might help. Also updating your software and firmware could help.
