Hi there, Did you disassemble the console down to the motherboard in order to clean it? Because it sounds like the console may have been put back together incorrectly, or by running the vacuum over the board, you may have knocked off a component. Could you elaborate about what exactly was done to the console when you cleaned it? I'd love to help you, I fix these things all the time! -Samantha

To be honest, the iPhone 4s is a little older, I'd try another battery! They do age, and sometimes the battery can be damaged in shipping. That's the first place I'd start, all of these crashing and power cycling symptoms sound like an inconsistency in charge.. Let me know what you try next! Hi there! On the iPhone 5s when you replace the screen, you are transferring a few things from one screen to the other, front camera, home button, that nifty shield, the proximity sensor, and the secondary mic! it looks like a little golden box with a peg sticking out of it, it is meant to push right inside of the little rubber circle next to where you put the ear speaker. That bad boy is probably blocked by something. Try taking it back apart and examining that part of the front camera flex assembly. Hey, I love this phone, I've had mine for years now, those soft keys on the front of the phone are actually controlled by the charge port. If you plan on replacing it yourself there are a few things to keep in mind. Order more than 3. Yes, the failure rate on these parts is SO BAD that ordering less would only leave you frustrated. The charge port module on this phone controls the three softkeys, the charge port..(obviously) the antenna, and the main mic. ALSO- take care removing the coaxial cable that runs down the right side of the device (when the phone is on it's face) if it gets damaged in the least, you will have abysmal signal, and you might be able to make a phone call standing on top of a cell tower... MIGHT. Your problem is an easy one though! Don't worry, and don't go about doing anything software related, as 9/10 this probably isn't your issue. -Samantha Stout. Hello, I own this very same computer, and I replaced the A/C adapter just a few months ago, when you plug the computer in, does the ring, around the power input, light up blue? Because if not, your computer is not getting a charge, so no matter what you do, it's not going to turn on. There are many guides here on iFixit on how to disassemble this computer down to the very shell it lies in, if you wan't to attempt replacing it too. I think this may be your problem, as this computer is notorious when it comes to the sensitivity of that A/C input.. I sure hope this helps. -Samantha S.

I have a microsoft surface, so I can tell you with 100% conviction that it comes loaded with windows 8, if the device has been used at all, it will probably have 8.1 loaded onto it. Since the tablet has a plethora of auto-recovery features, and a SSD it would not make very much sense for the OS to need to be loaded via usb stick (although in cases where your memory becomes compromised this is an option). -Samantha S Device saver.

Hey there, Yes, they are the same. The wifi model is actually easier, because you don't need to worry about the antennas at the top of the device. Follow the repair guide for the LTE model, minus the LTE antennas at the top, and you should be just fine.

Hey, Sorry about your Note 3, that is a real bummer. First thing is first, water damage is tricky, and sea water is full of impurities. Take the phone apart, and treat the motherboard for water damage. If you don't have the proper facilities, a good scrub with isopropyl alcohol (at least 90%) will certainly give the phone a better chance of survival. It is possible that corrosion has set into your screens ribbon flex, or the connector on the motherboard itself. Unfortunately, since the device was turned on, and plugged in, there is a good chance you will need to replace the LCD, and since the device had power sent through it after being wet, the display may never come back. Certainly better to try though, as you may have a perfectly fine device that just needs a new display! Good luck. -Samantha S. Device Savers

Hey Daniel, Make sure the charger you are using is the proper voltage to charge the device. If it's too little, it will not take a charge, you may see a little light like you said. The charge cable may not be the problem, it may be the port you are plugging the cable in to. This port is soldered on to the motherboard of the Gameboy, and if it has become loose, you will not be able to charge it with ANY charger. If you have basic soldering skills, this is not a difficult repair, if you do not have an electronic repair background, I would advise selling it for parts, and purchasing another one. Hi Ivan, I've had that same issue with my Surface Pro RT tablet. Plug the tablet in, and let it charge, then hold down the power button for an extended period, it should bring you to a blue screen. (For once we want this color ;) If a hard reset doesn't do the trick, then you must do a usb restore. When you set up this tablet, it forces you create a MS account. Log into that, and you will see all the information about this tablet, your recovery key, ect. Download the recovery onto a usb drive, the website is very easy to navigate and this will not be difficult to locate, then try to turn on the tablet. If all goes according to plan, it will boot from that USB stick. Now, depending on why exactly your tablet is acting up (shutdown during an update, or just an 8.1 crash..) you may loose everything that is on it. Hopefully you can keep your information, but I would rather have a working tablet, than a paperweight. Good luck! and believe it or not, the MS website is very helpful with this, as long as you know...

I wish the tutorial showed the procedure for tearing down the LCD and backlight panel... So not fun.
