I would say, no, unfortunately! SATA III (6GB\ps) is backwards compatible with SATA II (3GB\ps), so in english to all non-IT individuals, they WILL work in the console, just not at 6GB\ps but at 3GB\ps. IGN, yes, did do some testing, but the results can be misleading. You do receive faster times with an SSD, but naturally that would happen anyhow as that's what they were built to accomplish. PCPer did some testing of their own, and I believe them to be the most reasonable on their findings. The speeds of which SATA III and II differ should be two fold, mathematically. The most common results so far in PS4 testing with the native SATA II HDD (from factory) and SATA III SSD tested differed at most 32%. The margin should've been exponentially greater if the PS4 utilized true SATA III speeds. If you're intention is to upgrade the current drive to something more performance ready, it will all come down to if you find it worth it to gain 32% of speed at almost half the price of the console itself. It's a battle...

I tore my 3GS proximity sensor ribbon cable last night. It has all of the same problems now (being torn) though the earpiece also will not work. This is because the proximity sensor tells the earpiece when to become active. Since yours is not torn, your earpiece should be working. It sounds like you have all of the symptoms of a bad sensor. I've been looking online for hours and have discovered a few places that offer a replacement, though none are OEM by description. Price ranges from five to twenty dollars without shipping. Replacing it is almost as easy plug-and-play, I suggest this is a repair meant for people who are familiar with small parts repair in the inside of an iPhone already. Remove the screen (open the phone), disconnect the front panel cables from the mainboard, remove the LCD screen from the front panel, and remove the shield covering the sensor and earpiece. Another optical drive is not all that would be necessary. Depending on what you are trying to upgrade to, depends on if you have the necessary requirements such as RAM, or processor speed or type. A new optical drive would work, but be careful knowing that might not be the only thing necessary to fix / update to install a new operating system.

A system image is an "image" of the computer. This can't be made to install windows 7 to another device. This "image" take a virtual screenshot of all the computers settings, restrictions, files, etc. and saves it to a "system image" file to later be restored. Us IT reps use it to turn computers on a large scale network quickly to the same properties for consistency. The system image is also known on the older windows platforms as system restore, if that sounds familiar. If you still wish to put windows 7 on your mac, check apple's site to see if your computer's Boot Camp even supports windows 7. The cells in your battery could be dead. If the iPod shows full charge when plugged in, thats because what little cells you have left to charge take very little to fuel up. However, with a small amount of working cells, this isn't enough to keep the iPod running. Since I trust hardly any other suppliers other than iFixit, i would suggest claiming a warranty service on it.

Before I finished reading your post, my thoughts were that it was a defective digitizer. If ordered from iFixit, they offer around a six month warranty depending on the product. I have personally encountered someone with that problem. We solved it by another replacement. If the case still persists, I would then contact apple as something would then be wrong in either your circuitry, or the mainboard. Good Luck Cody's Computer Service
