In addition, I removed the battery, and put the Kindle Voyage inside of a convection oven at 120C for 10min., while resting on top of a ceramic plate. My hair dryer was only putting out 60C. Oven worked like a charm! Use oven mittens. Screen intact. I'm using parts from this because it had a logic board issue. Screen might be OK for fun hacks! :)

@josephcestone I'd place it as close to the BLDC motor as possible since that's the largest friction point and where most of the energy is used.
