You can actually flick/pry that sucker off with a really fine flathead screwdriver instead of de-soldering. I was about to do just that before getting the bright idea of just “flicking” it off the board. Worked great! EDIT: I know this thread is old but the information still applies. This thread comes up on google when us paranoid techies search for “Amazon mic removal” or “fire mic disable” so I thought it prudent to post a less complicated way of removing the mic that anybody could do (for those who can’t/don't own a soldering iron).
