when you say "copy from the scanner" do you mean just to your monitor or do you mean to a piece of paper? If its to a sheet of paper than there is hope , we can probably figure it out. If however you mean just to your monitor and there is nothing ever coming out with printing on it , well chances are you have the very same problem I posted ( 09/09/2011 Gil ) . These multi function machines can actually be not to bad to figure out, If this machine prints from any source than you can be pretty sure the printer section is ok. If you can scan a document and print it ,than the scanner, printer is ok maybe there is something wrong with your cables or print drivers . If you can print a computer test document but not from word the problems not likely your printer. If it is no output from any source than its probably this silly Brother cleaning system I described last time. It never worked again but yes good old Costco took it back after more than 2 years, great company bad printer.
続きを読むI've always thought that people who had nothing better to do than sit at their computer and get into arguments on chat groups were pretty pathetic so please don't take me wrong Michael B. but I really don't like this answer, and its liable to lead someone to purchase a timer unnecessarily and they usually won't take them back. It would mean the timer was failing in some very unlikely ways--pump running fast, times out too soon ?? contacts partly broken off ,pump not running long enough ?? its so unlikely that its a timer, I wouldn't even mention it. Emptying washer by running a bit extra doesn't prove anything, it could still be a clog or a kinked hose or even the pump, the machine ran longer and finally managed to pump the rest of the water. Plus if you went back to cycle start its added more water so who knows , even if it pumped everything out this time there could be any one of several cause's still waiting to bite. No I still think the first cause most often is flow back from the drain and there are...
続きを読むHi Not a Mac expert--at all, lots to do on PC's without going over to the dark side :-) So this is more a question for Mayer, could a faulty attempt to enter diagnostics have written some kind of "next boot" script? Could the solution be to try and enter diagnostic with the disk loaded. Could it be one of those instructions that will stay until the cows come home, unless you satisfy what it wants? Your the guy on this one but I'm curious. regards Gil
続きを読むFirst things first , Can you do a test print from the control panel? If yes check your cables, reload drivers try printing from DOS ETC. But I suspect it will be no it dosn't print from control panel, afraid your probably hooped. I had pretty much the same machine, worked great ,good prints but its sitting in the basement now. The machine does a rotine cleaning every few days, somehow squirts some ink direct from the print head into the cleaning assembly. So even if you don't use it much its always ready to go, dumb. I think when I dug into it I had done 87 total B and w and 30 color prints the whole time I had it ( two years) everytime it does a cleaning the unused ink goes into tank with filters in it - that was satuated with ink and from the website ( Franco Colomba answer) I found code descriptions. It was declaring the tank was full, even when I spent 2 hours cleaning and reassembling was unable to reset the code sigh. The Brother cost me over $200 Sadly buy a $30 printer and throw it away when it...
続きを読むThe give away is the smudge marks you mention when you take the mis-fed paper out. Your rollers are dirty. Even very old low volume printer rarely have worn rollers- I wouldn't try roughing them up the tread is usually quite deep and wear is unlikely. Clean them with someting with mild soap in it and than rinse real well with damp lint free cloth. Sometimes they get dirty from doing a lot of two sided printing the ink on the already printed side rubs off on the rollers ( do you put your already printed one side pages in with the print facing the paper roller? Sometimes its not worth the paper saved for the problems it causes. Also be sure to buy good paper and store un-used paper, sealed in the original wrapper. G.S.
続きを読むsomewhat the same as the earlier answer about routing the hose up in a loop. The water in your dishwasher is probably water coming back from the drain hose when the pump shuts off. Try the loop up as mentioned earlier first -its free. If that dosn't work check at hardware store for a check valve. Its just a "gate" that opens when water is being pumped but closes when pump goes off and prevents water draing back into machine. GS
続きを読むIf it shakes with nothing in it. And when everything is stopped does the tub seem to be shifted forward ? Pull the one piece front / side / top cover off At the base of the tub there are several springs some mounted almost horizontal check that they are all in place both ends of spring, they are probably ok they are fairly big springs. Next look for a smaller but longer spring hanging down at the back, one end probably the bottom has come loose. It stabalizes the tub support plate to the machine frame. If its not broken re-attach and put it all back together-- the tip-off is the tub is shifted forward and when it fills it looks like the water might be going down the back of the tub. G.S.
