I have the notorious problem with this logic board. On top of that, the board has had an attempt to work on the touchbar area, which looks pretty devastated. I tried every OS and everything failed, but installing Sonoma (with Open Core Patcher) did the trick. Of course the touchbar still doesn't work and never will, but the machine boots up without asking for the "critical update" anymore. Maybe someone else can try the same and let us all know how it goes. Best of luck, guys.
続きを読むSame issue. Replaced PSU unit with a known good one, no result. It really could be anything, from ram to graphics card or a component on the logic board. Not sure I want to diagnose everything, given the low value of these machines today.
続きを読むLiquid damage is a real problem. If it occurred, and no matter if the liquid dried in the meantime, it could have caused shorts and corrosion of traces and components. Having said this, have you tried the usual stuff such as SMC and PRAM reset? SMC = while the charger is plugged in, press simultaneously shift+ctrl+alt keys and power button and keep them pressed for 5-10 secs, release them and try to switch the machine on. PRAM = power up the machine and press cmd+alt+p+r on the keyboard before the boot chime. Keep the keys pressed until you hear the chime 2 or 3 times, then release the keys and let it boot. Good luck.

The cable is just a v-sync. If it’s bad or disconnected, the only “reaction” should be a sort of “trace” left on the screen when dragging windows, not a completely dark screen. That is, the screen should work even without v-sync cable.
