This is a very roundabout solution, and you've probably figured something out by now, but if you play a frequency outside of your hearing range at an extremely low but non-trivial volume constantly over the aux, it will constantly play /something/ but you won't be able to hear it. Dogs and young children will hate you, and power usage will be constant, but hey... it will technically work.

The charger port on the Galaxy S III can sometimes break , especially after extended use. In order to identify your problem, start small and work your way up. First, try using a new (or at least different) charger cable for your phone, any android charger would do the trick. (1) Sometimes the charger simply doesn't seat correctly in the port, so if a different charger works on your phone, inspect your old on for any weakness in the cable, check that the securing tabs aren't broken, check that the 4 pins aren't bent or missing. If a new charger doesn't do the trick, test the battery. Take the back off of your phone by lifting under the indentation of the phone and then remove the battery completely. Hi, I have the Gigabyte p35wv2 which has essentially the same keyboard except there is also a numpad on the side. As soon as I got the device I noticed the keyboard had a little bit of give on the upper right hand corner. Here's a pic of my keyboard so you can see my target area (sorry it's dirty) What you're going to want to do is first, carefully remove keyboard grid cover, carefully. I have removed mine and highlighted the tabs and small dots that keep your keyboard in place. Yours will not be perfectly the same, but I found that in the area where it sticks up you can easily lift and see where the tabs are to remove them. Once it is off, check that each of the tabs that hold the cover down are aligned at a right angle, so that it can properly snap in. Here is a close up of the tabs and the dots. The tabs keep the outside rim down, and the small dots fit into holes in the actual keyboard to keep it level.
