Apple glues the lcd to the digitizer to keep the image clear you just have to buy an LCD with the digitizer already glued in place OR use a heat gun to soften the glue. I think alot of manufactures are going that route. Unless you have alot of fancy equipment its probably more cost effective to buy assembled LCDs

depends on your experience with electronic device repair, it looks pretty straight forward, no soldering, no heat guns, no special tools, if you never done this kind of repair i would look for other broken devices and practice on something you dont use daily
