Did you do a professional re-flow or a 'put the motherboard in a oven with tinfoil and protect the remaining components with clothing or heat resistant cloth'? If connecting the laptop to an external display works, then the Laptop is functional and is working, the display backlight or display cable might be broken or bad. Have you tried shining a very bright light at an angle on the monitor and able to see part of the screen? If you do see the screen with a very bright light, the display back-light has gone bad and needs replacement. If you don't see a screen, you know it's the whole monitor at fault, or cables that need to be connected properly.

Try cleaning the metal prongs inside the printer cartridge with Rubbing Alcohol on a Q-tip. Ink may be covering one of the connections, making the printer unable to tell if it's a compatible ink cartridge and if it works.

By the description of your question, you seem to know how to install a new operating system. So far, an uninitialized drive on a Mac could be that the drive came already formatted with a file type like FAT32 or NTFS, or the drive can't be initialized. The router you received seemed like it came from your ISP itself. All routers coming from any ISP are very bare bone starter kit routers. If you want to start a good setup, it might be a better idea to connect a router to a modem instead of an all in one. Although the setup may look ugly, the speed and stability will help a lot.

Have you tried to press the off button? It's right below the on button.

The only way to turn off the shutter sound is by using the mute switch unless you are in a country (e.g. Japan) where silencing the shutter sound is not permitted.

If you can connect to your hard drive again, please do a hard drive test right away with any program. If any program considers a failing hard drive, start backing up your data right away and planning on buying a new hard drive. Other than that, the solder on the motherboard on the SATA connector might be loose, have you tried another connector?

Depending on the tablet, the battery might of taken it's last life. Try holding the power button down for 30 seconds, and leaving it plugged in overnight? If the charging light is flashing or not on, the battery or charging port has failed or is broken. (PS. If you remember that it's normal to be flashing while charging, then do not consider it faulty)
