i know this is a necro post, crypt keeper kinda old. i did happen to latch on to 3 units and i never got one when they first came out. i’ve cobbled parts from the three into a nice graphics making machine. i want to also get some older 3d apps. i’m learning 3d printing)…i own a version(9) of Lightwave and might need to connect its dongle that will probably need access to the web, and some Adobe products as well. i also just thought i need to check the other machines, there may be an airport in one already. what would be the best work around, including sneakerware to best utilise this machine? thanks for reading.
ain’t this a kick in the cargo pants. my (purchased in 2017) MM2 has sprung to life…dunno what was going on. i pried off the skids and tried lifting the bottom shell with my spongers…but set it side…put the skids back on and pushed it to the side. i had left the bluetooth system pane open, and i saw it listed, it was turned off, so i pushed the switch to on and it now recognised….huzzah for monkey prying!
i went ahead and removed the speaker, as i wanted to clean the 'grill'...i used alcohol and blew it out from the inside. got it nice and clean...no telling what THAT 'gunk' was...food grease i suspect(bought second hand...;)
i used the pointy black plastic stick in a rolling motion, to start pulling the adhesive strips...there is just a little bit of tacky there at the end that the point, if held almost parallel to the iphone and given a little twist to get it onto that tip. about to do the reassembly now...
all those teeny screws...and the world is so...well...BIG!
go slow and put those parts INTO something...
putting them "on" something will just cause heartache and and an infected bladder...

after a lot of froofroo and very errant iphone behaviour problems, i concluded that that tiny grounding piece must be being lazy as hello. i spread it out a bit to ensure a better contact with the back plate and everything appears to be working smoothly.
did this repair, as well as the battery replacement...GTG!!!
spoke too soon, i 'spect...random reboots persist.
