This is confusing. Can someone who knows this stuff draw a simple chart and indicate, pin to pin: magsafe plugged in-voltage readings, not plugged in continuity readings. (pins 1 & 5 ground, 0 ohms OK, pins 2 &4 power also 0 ohms OK... what about #3 and the outside ring?)

I've got a digital voltage meter, 1 brand new and a 1 used -maybe funky-magsafe charger. I get DC volt and MILLIvolt readings all over the place. Thanks

I think a lot of us have MagSafes that work some of the time.... the light on the connector seems to go wonky early on. I bought a fixit cable for one, opened it up, ferrite core on the DC output wires--I've never seen any inside view of an Apple MagSafe with this. Probably a bootleg I got suckered on through Amazon.
