I'm just someone that likes to tinker with stuff. I started changing screens in phones on a dare from a little girl, well I couldn't say no to her so I replaced the shattered digitizer on her iPod.
I have purchased the displays from Repair Parts Plus but the adhesive does not hold very good at all. I had one device returned to me because of this and I was able to pull the display off with no heat.
Before you say it, yes I did clean it, yes I clamped it overnight.
The outside edges of the white clip on the battery side of the connector have hooks that need to be released. It is much better to use the tweezers there than underneath the wires.
There is no need to remove the shorter screw, it does not go through the mother board
