備考:

If you have a Gaggia coffee maker, also take a look at the guides for Philips and Saeco machines. They are all made by the same manufacturer and have a very similar design. Some components are identical in many cases, such as the pump, drain valve, heater or drive.

Background and Identification

Gaggia is a company that is owned by Saeco International. Both of these brands are Italian-based, and they make coffee machines as well as a few other household appliances. The founder of Gaggia was Giovanni Achille Gaggia, who invented a steamless coffee machine that used pressurized water flowing over coffee grounds to make the unique ‘crema’ of an espresso. Gaggia was founded as a company in 1948, and they began to make both commercial and personal coffee machines. The brand grew larger and more well known through the rest of the 1900s. In 1999, the Gaggia company was purchased by the Saeco International Group. In 2009, both of these brands were bought by Royal Philips Electronics, a Dutch company. The Gaggia brand continues to make coffee machines as of 2020, and the company is over 80 years old. Today, Gaggia has four product lines: automatic coffee machines, manual coffee machines, coffee beans, and accessories. Accessories include filters, filter holders, coffee oil remover tablets, and more. The coffee line of products includes three different blends of coffee bean: Arabica, Intenso, and Decaffeinated. The three blends are meant to have different tastes. Gaggia coffee machines are known around the world as a classic high-end coffee machine brand.
