Badly shattered screen (glass shard hazards galore)

It was a little tricky getting the suction cup to work on the severely shattered screen. It worked well enough to get the "Jimmy" in and pop the screen off. The magnetic screw driver in the kit was a bit annoying. It's pull is too strong. I had to place the screws by hand and use my fingernail to keep them in place so they wouldn't get jostled back out by the magnetic screwdriver tip.

The glass was a real hazard. Easy to cut yourself on it etc. We found out that clear packing tape is a great solution to keep the glass shards in place (and it still allows you to use your phone while you wait for your iFixit replacement!). We also used clear shrink wrap and that worked as well! This was the .25mm thick stuff and the touch screen worked just fine.
