Disconnect the battery

For precautionary purposes, we advise that you disconnect the battery connector to avoid any electrical discharge.
Use plastic tools to avoid damaging the battery, which could leak dangerous chemicals or catch fire.
Using a fingernail or spudger, move back the retaining clip holding the battery connector in place.
The battery connector is very fragile. Proceed with caution.
Put a spudger under the battery connector and twist, to lift off the connector.
