How to Access GE Washing Machine Error Code Mode

Unplug the washing machine for about five minutes and then reconnect power.

Ensure the display is blank and no cycle is running before proceeding.

Press and hold the start pause button for 10 seconds until the screen lights up.

Release the button once the first error code appears on the display.

Press the start pause button again to view each stored error code one by one.

Watch for two horizontal lines on the display to indicate the end of the code list.

Press any button on the right side of the control panel that is not start or power.

Confirm the system shuts down and the error code mode ends.

Refer to the code on the display and match it to GE’s list of possible faults.

Investigate the identified issue such as water supply or component failure as needed.

Press and hold the start button and rotate the selector knob 180 degrees counterclockwise.

Release the start button when the display flashes on and off to confirm entry.

Turn the knob clockwise to increase or counterclockwise to decrease the test mode number.
