GE Front Load Washing Machine Not Draining - Drain Pump Replacement

It looks like you can do what you've posted without having to take off the top panel of the machine- My machine is stacked with the dryer above. Could the machine be taken apart and drain pump replaced without removing the top panel- i.e., not having to unstack the machines? Thank you!
