The rear panel is secured to the front case and can simply be pried apart without damage.

Carefully, wedge the plastic opening tool in-between the seam that separates both halves of the tablet.

Run the plastic opening tool along the seam looking for the clips and lift up on the rear panel.

The rear panel should come completely off.

Cut only the red and black wires attaching the battery to the motherboard.

Using a metal spudger, carefully pry the battery away from the digitizer.

Using wire strippers, strip the ends of the red and black wires connected to the the new battery back about a 1/8".

Twist the strands of the spliced wire together.

When the connection is hot enough melt solder on the opposite side of the wire to the iron as shown in the image. Do not melt to much solder.

Repeat this process with the other wire.
