Hey Mike n and Caja154, Parts aren't as easy to come by as you might think and they may not even be available yet . If you find a source for one, feel free to apply an edit to the Details section of the guide and drop in the link. We can all work together on this.
Don't forget to contact Amazon too! Even if they don't end up being helpful, you can still use the opportunity to demand that they provide replacement parts. Maybe, if enough people ask for them, manufacturers will provide them. Wishful thinking, I know, but it's worth a try.
This is totally useless. Why show someone how to remove something and then not be able to tell them where to buy the replacement or if you CAN buy a replacement!
Can you access the memory?
No, you can’t by a new fire stick motherboard (use common sense please) ! If it breaks down within the warranty…contact seller (Amazon) or…Just buy a new one for a little price…Happy Days Again !!
Agree with the sentiments about the uselessness of removing the the motherboard for a replacement that isn’t available.
But, there is some utility for people who may like to open the case without totally destroying it.
My own particular need is that my firestick works but displays intermittently or shows digital snow.
After sucessfully removing the motherboard I maybe able to reflow the connector to make it work.

Where can you purchase a new motherboard for the TV stick?
Where can you get a new mobo? Mine was defective from day one. Amazon thought it was the remote and replaced the remote. It still didn't work. When I contacted them to state this and get a new stick, they informed me they had refunded my purchase and I would just need to buy a new stick.They said I can through this one away. This was frustrating and being the tinkerer I am I want to get this thing to work now. If there is any info on any connections that I can reinforce that would be great too.
Some issues are caused by the flexing of the Stick (being inserted & removed) around the HDMI connector internally, in addition to the Heat dissipation issues the Fire TV Stick is known for having……. I have just re-soldered the internal cracks around the HDMI connector on my Fire TV Stick & have replaced the Amazon provided USB power adaptor (which is 1.0 ampere) with another adaptor that I have (Which is 1.35 ampere) & the stick is now operating as well if not better than it ever has
I have a fire stick generation 1 how do I reset it from the motherboard I turned off the CDC and I can't get nothing to work not even a remote phone Wi-Fi nothing I used to use my other remote of my TV to go through it and then I turned off that remote part anybody knows how to reset it from the motherboard
My Firestick had a pin pulled out of the HDMI port (pin 18, I think[looking in: narrow row, leftmost side on a male connector]). Is this repairable or is a replacement necessary?
My 4k Firestick doesn't power up. The remote control works fine, and I've swapped the power cable; it's as though no current is reaching the mudder-board. Looking for any suggestions on repairing this issue?
