Oster CKSTSTMD5-W Repair

The Oster Double Tiered Food Steamer was manufactured by Oster and released in 2011. It allows the user to simultaneously cook two types of food for up to an hour of time. It contains a main heating element with water storage and a double tiered plastic compartment for food. The plastic stacks on top of the heating element and has two compartments with ventilation to allow the steam to penetrate. The water capacity is 500mL which allows for an extended period of steaming time. The device has a windup timer dial on the front, along with an indicator light. The timing capacity is up to an hour of cooking time if the dial is wound all the way to the right.

This device is still available on the market and has not been discontinued. On the market, this device sells for around $30 from different vendors such as Amazon, Walmart, Target, and Bed Bath and Beyond. This is not the latest model - the Oster CKSTSTMD5W015 Model is an updated version with the same specifications but newer steaming compartment design.

This model can be identified by the model number on the sticker on the bottom of the device. It is distinguishable from other models through its steaming compartment handles. Other models such as the Oster CKSTSTMD5W015 have a divider between the tiers.
