Background and Identification
The Nokia 6500 Slide is a mobile phone released by Nokia in September 2007 and was discontinued in 2009. The Nokia 6500 Classic is the version of this phone without a sliding keypad.
When this phone is collapsed, it features five main buttons underneath the display, which is 2.2 inches. Sliding the device upward reveals the full keypad for the phone. There is a volume rocker and camera quick-access button on the side, with a 3.2 megapixel camera featuring autofocus on the back. The battery is removable for replacement. The phone also features an internal loudspeaker meant to handle audio from music and video. The headphone jack is 2.5mm and made for the earphones supplied with the phone.
The Nokia 6500 Slide supports calls, SMS, MMS, email, instant messaging, Bluetooth, and 3G connectivity. It also supports Java and certain games. There is only 20mb of internal storage; however, a micro SD card allows for more memory. It runs on Nokia’s Series 40 platform.
The body encasing of the phone is made of stainless steel.
