The SDG series utilizes high-performance Isuzu or Kubota diesel engines that are EPA Tier 4 Final compliant, ensuring reliable operation with low emissions. These engines are typically paired with brushless alternators and Automatic Voltage Regulators (AVR) to maintain a steady power output within ±0.5% accuracy. A signature feature of the series is the Enviro 110% Containment system, a "tank within a tank" design that prevents leaks of fuel, oil, or coolant from reaching the ground. For maintenance, the Electric Fuel Primer and Air-Bleed (EFPA) Pump automatically removes air from the fuel lines, which is particularly useful if the unit runs out of fuel. Additionally, the units are built with analog gauges for easy monitoring of voltage, amperage, and engine health, all protected behind lockable, weather-resistant cabinets.
