Background
The Intel Arc B570 is the second Battlemage graphics card to be released, after the B580. The GPU got announced in December 2024 along with its older sibling, and the B570 got released on January 17, 2025.
The Arc B570 is a cut down version of the B580, using the same 272 mm2 processor die, but with two fewer Xe cores, lower clock, memory, cache and bandwidth. Still, the dGPU features multiple media hardware codecs such as H.265, AV1 and VP9 and uses Intel's XeSS 2 AI upscaling.
Battlemage, also called B-series, uses Intel's second generation Xe architecture, offering 50% higher power efficiency and 70% greater performance per core. Built on TSMC's N5 technology, the 5 nm node's increased density and efficiency let the B-series use half the die area of the A-series cards. The Xe2's new vector engine supports SIMD32 and SIMD16, reducing the required data chunks per instruction set, and adds an extended math table faster execution.
The two Battlemage graphic cards, announced in December 2024, are the only consumer-grade discrete GPUs to be released within the B-series.
Identification
The Intel Arc B570 features multiple graphic card partners and vendors with different specifications and appearances. The GPU model can usually be found on the product sticker, often on the GPU's backside. Intel Arc graphic cards typically features the Intel Arc logo on the side.
The GPU can be identified in Windows though the Task Manager, by:
- Open the Windows Task Manager.
- Navigate to the Performance Tab.
- Locate the GPU section.
- The name of the GPU is then stated on the top right as a title.
The GPU can be identified in Linux by following this How-To-Geek guide.
