Background
The LOGIQ a200 is an ultrasound system that can be carted around. It weighs roughly 168 lbs without any attachments. It is designed to take in two probe ports and has support for most transducer types. Its major components consist of the main console, the keyboard, control panel, monitor, power supply, transducer interfaces, and the beam-forming components.
It began its release around the late 1990's and is now past production. This model was considered pretty high end for its time, and it was not regionally exclusive as it is found all across the United States and Europe. The intended users are healthcare workers who need to perform any imaging.
The LOGIQ brand helped GE healthcare make a push into the healthcare market and stay there for decades. The "a" or alpha 200 model specifically was one of the most sought after machines during its time, as it was just the higher end version of the popular LOGIQ 200 PRO.
Some common complaints are the screen flickering after changing the battery. Resetting the system has also caused issues with logging in and changing the settings. There are very few user complaints however, they are found to be spread out over many years showing the longevity of the device.
Identification
The GE LOGIQ a300 is a cart-based system designed for medical use. It has a CRT display and a control panel below it that has a keyboard a few knobs and buttons but is generally concise. On the backside of the console there are two transducer ports. Serial number and model information can be found on the bottom of the rear section of the machine. It comes in a light grey color scheme to discern it from older devices; it will also have LOGIQ a200 printed below the display.
