Background and Identification
Many medical procedures require the use of imaging techniques to properly understand, diagnose, and treat conditions. Some imaging processes, such as Computed Tomography (a process by which a computer projects a section of a patient’s head and reconstructs the image’s cross-section)> Others, such as X-Rays, were developed before digital technology, and have since adapted to use digital formats. Medical digital image processors are the machines that process the images they receive from X-Ray machines and other scanners so that physicians can view clear, precise images of the patients’ conditions.
