Background and Identification
Bose is a consumer electronics company headquartered in Massachusetts. Bose was founded in 1964 by Amar Bose. The company started out producing speaker systems and has remained in the audio equipment industry since its early days. Today, Bose sells commercial audio systems, home audio and video devices, headphones, and automotive audio equipment.
The Bose QuietComfort 20i are in-ear headphones released from Bose in 2013. The Bose QuietComfort 20i have noise-canceling technology, meaning the headphones emit frequencies that cancel out any outside frequencies (background noise) the headphones detect. The headphones also have “aware mode,” allowing the user to turn this feature off in case they want to be aware of their environment. These headphones connect to various devices (phones, tablets, laptops, etc.) with a wire.
The Bose QuietComfort 20i headphones have a wired cord with a 3.5mm audio connector on one end. The in-ear pieces of the headphones are located on the other end of the cord. The headphone cord also has a volume control bar just before the cord splits into two. The Bose QuietComfort 20i headphones come in various colors.
