Key fob not recognized- Ford Escape 2019

I have a 2019 Ford Escape- push button start (my daughter's car) and ever since I bought it several months ago, I have had issues with the key fob not being recognized so the car will not start at all (no lights, nothing). The only way to resolve the issue is to jiggle the battery terminal in the engine. I have had the car battery replaced brand new in October, but the issue still persists. The message display will also state that the key fob battery is low and needs replacing, even though those batteries are new too. This issue happens when the car sits for a while or has just been driven so it does not matter location or idle time. The car has been sent to a Ford dealer several times and they have seen the issue when I drop it off but then they cannot replicate it while it is there. They check connections, fuses etc. and still no idea how to resolve. My initial thought is that it could be the key fobs (one is original I believe and the other after-market). I hesitate to reprogram as that may not resolve the issue ($200) and if it does not then I would need brand new key fobs and a reprogram ($500). If either solution does not resolve this issue, I am out that money with the same problem. My question is, has anyone seen this issue before and any ideas on how to resolve it? This car was purchased at a used car dealer so there is no warranty, and I have been taking it to a Ford dealership in hopes they would be more familiar with the car and issue.

I have been experiencing something similiar. It seemed like anytime the key fob was moved, the car would honk twice, like it was locking and unlocking, or vise versa. I thought it was the key fob battery, so I replaced it. Still honked when I would grab the fob either to go out to the car to leave, or leave the car to come into the house. or if I was just walking around with the fob in my hand. Then I came out to the car to leave, and it said it couldn't find the fob, and it was right in my hand. jiggled around a few times and it finally found the fob and started the car. But, then when I got to my destination, just having it in my hand and getting out of the car it was honking. so I left it in the center console and went to walk around to the passenger side to retrieve somethings from the passenger front seat. The doors had locked and key (and spare battery) were in the center console. AAA came and got me back in the car. I was going to change the battery again thinking the pack I was using might have been old, but as I had the back off I decided to look under the circuit board on the other half of the key fob. I noticed one of the buttons on the rubber button pad looked crumbled and falling apart. Put it back together and now the lock button won't work...but the car does start and it's not arbitrarily honking all the time. I will look into getting a replacement key fob tomorrow and let you know how much the fob and getting it programmed cost, and if it fixed the problem. Anyway, look at your button pad, under the circuit board and see if any of the buttons look damaged.

Sorry to hear your vehicle is experiencing this issue. While I am a bit of a shade-tree mechanic myself, I haven't experienced issues like this therefore I don't know how to. Heck my grandma is having a similar issue with her 2018 Chrysler 300c.

I did find this article https://www.justanswer.com/ford/nd6ed-so.... It looks like it could be an issue related to the receiver in the start/stop button.

I also see stuff like this online with these bedazzle kits some people like to install and they cause interference with the immobilizer systems. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/C9xirmivR...
