TV IR Sensor not responding
My LG TV is not responding to signals from my full functioning remote control. Model Number: 42LG3000

@kristiansharp the IR board is the part where your power button is. You will have to remove the back cover form your TV (disconnect the power cable of course) then locate the IR board (same location as the power button from the front). Remove and replace the board. Luckily it is readily available at many online stores and really not to expensive. After that, re-evaluate.
Let us know what you find out.

@kristiansharp you've checked your remote to make sure it does send signals? Your TV functions as usual with the exception of not responding to anything form the remote?

Yes, I have new batteries, I have new genuine LG remote control which arrived today. it still wouldn't pair with the TV. My TV has been unplugged for over 30 minutes to try to force a hard reset on the TV itself. Nothing works.

@kristiansharp ;-) have you checked the remote with your cellphone camera to make sure it sends signals. Why did you need to replace it? Can you use your TV without a remote? Does that TV work okay? What model is your remote? I am thinking that this is either the remote or the IR sensor which is part of the power button on the front of your TV. Part number for that is EAX43425703

Yes, I have checked the remote with the camera on my phone, I can see that works fine.
My original remote was working fine and then stopped working suddenly..
Is the IR Sensor part of the Power Control Circuit Board?
