When playing with my PS3, it just powered down, and then it flashed a flashing red light, then pressing the on button, it went green, then back to a flashing red light with nothing on the screen.

Hi!
It could be 2 things!
1: PS3 is overheated and so you need to remove the dust and replace the thermalpaste.
Always try that first!
2: APU issues! You can try the reflow first and see if that works! Most Of the time this fix is temporary… a reball will solve it, but is very difficult to do and you need special equipment.

A reball won't fix it, the issue is the connection between the die and the interposer. It needs to be replaced with a 65 or 40nm GPU for a true permanent fix. I recommend watching RIP Felix on YouTube if you want to explore this more.
It's a possibility that there are colt solder joints beneath the GPU. Reballing will fix the colt solder joints. If it's between the die and the interposer then indeed a reball won't fix it. Do you have a link for where Nihal can buy the GPU? Thanks in advance!
