Hi, a few years ago our old landlord tested our outlets and never warned us about if something can go wrong so when that happened a few days later I noticed my TV and PlayStation 3 wouldn't turn, obviously it's been a long time I don't care about the tv anymore but I still have my PS3 is there any hope of fixing it or is it just fried?

So, no more red light, just nothing and won't turn on?
If this is the case, I would replace the PSU for a new one and see how that goes.

yeah it does nothing unfortunately I honestly think it shorted out but thank you for your answer I'll look into that!
Yeah, would try the power supply first and see how that goes. If that failed, then it’s something on the motherboard. Then you do need to check the capacitors and resistors.

Well if there is No lights, no sound, completely unresponsive. Then you can try the following.
