Why are my speakers not working?

I was playing on my Nintendo switch the other day, playing Pokemon Unite, with the volume all the way up, when my speakers started to have bad sound quality then just stopped playing sound. I cannot tell if there is any buzzing in the speakers when trying to play audio, but in this case what do I need to do to fix this? Thanks! (P.S. headphones, wired or Bluetooth, and sound when the switch is docked that is coming from the TV still works.)

Hi!

I would say the Audio IC, but this is probably not it, because you still have sound wired, docked and also with the headphones.

I would try to replace the speakers actually. As you have stated "Speakers started to have bad sound quality". I would just replace them and see how it goes. They are easy to replace!

Well, at least 6 months later, I finally got around to replacing them and I put the new ones in and now I have sound again! Thank you koppie007 for your help and guidance. I now have 2 new speakers in my system and they worked perfectly. I hope you have a good day and may your repairs always go well. (sorry for the laziness on my part.)
