@durjayarao the repair guy is probably right. After all, you are saying you have an unknown part missing but have make no indication of what part this may be. You really need to give more of a description as in what part is suspected of missing and what all has been checked.
yeah, I'm betting it is the power switch, or maybe the adapter, or it could be the battery, or maybe the screen is lost. Never can tell with those HPs.
