Powering off every 2 min and no haptic feedback

Hello, this was my first time repairing a phone, but I originally had issues with my lightning port so I bought a replacement part off ebay and installed it. I am confident I installed it correctly because it turns on and the port works amazingly, but now the phone powers off every 2 minutes and has no haptic feedback. I was told that this is because I did not use an Apple hardware product so now my phone refuses to recognize it. Does anyone know a workaround for using non-apple replacement parts? Or could this somehow be a different issue?

Hi,

The feedback you got about the charging port not being genuine is mostly correct. Since you probably didn't touch another part of the phone, chances are high that something in your charge-port is broken. But it's more likely that you got a faulty charging-port. Try to get a charging port from a reliable source, that will accept the part back if doesn't fix the issue. (eg iFixit,..) The phone doesn't know that precisely that your charging-port is non-original, it only sees a missing response from a sensor. I once damaged the barometer on an original charging port just by cleaning it and it caused the phone to restart.

And before you spend any more money on parts, check the panic logs to make sure that the restarts are caused by the charging port, and not another flex cable:
iPhone Kernel Panics

PS: Wild guess, but have you tried cleaning your old original charging-port with a sim eject tool?
