@queenofthestoe besides replacing the battery, you have to take a close look at your charging board. Remember, that is your DC in board, essentially your power board. What is importance is really the cleaning. I understand the predicament with the Alcohol, but you did not tell us if you removed all the EMI shields, which is a must. If you do not replace those, you can't properly clean the board. Also, make sure that you rinsed the board well with distilled water after.
In all honesty, with the Samsung phones that I have worked on, I have never had good luck with repairing this board. I have now gone to replacing it instead. It is not very expensive and use something like this guide to replace it. It is in Spanish, so use a web browser that will translate it for you (if needed).
Then, with the battery replaced re-evaluate and see what you get. For now I'd ho;d off with replacing the screen until you at least have some sort of sign-of-life from your phone. If it is the display, then your phone will at least vibrate when you turn it on. In that case, replace the LCD.
If nothing else works, you'll have to follow the Samsung flow chart for the No Power situation and see if you can narrow down a component error on the main board
TP stands for test point and all components etc. are marked. Check those for the proper voltages. Anything past this check will become a boardlevel repair. Schematics are available but you ill need to have the proper tools and experience to trace the circuits etc.
Water damage is pretty much the hardest to repair, since practically any component can be a faulty one. iFixit will at least give you a chance :-)
