Has anyone managed to take the touchpad off of the sensor?

I got a new shell and buttons for my Steam Deck and the replacement of everything was super simple with no problems. The issue comes with the touchpads themselves. No matter what I attempted, I was unable to separate the black touchpad from the adhesive on the touchpad's sensor. I'd like to use the new touchpad covers I got since the existing ones don't feel good on my thumbs.

Has anyone managed to completely tear down the touchpads? If so, any advice on how to do so without breaking the sensors themselves would be amazing!
