Where does this part go, please?
Had disc read issues, and when opened to clean, I found a white plastic part and don’t know where it goes?

Hi Carrie,
Without knowing what the manufacturer and model number of your DVD player is, it's impossible for us to give you an answer with any certainty.
Given that, let me say that every DVD player needs some way to secure the disk to the motor that spins the disk, so there's almost always some sort of clamping mechanism to hold the disk. It sounds like the piece you're describing may have something to do with that; the solid oval shape probably drops onto the center of the disk and rotates up and down on the two arms.
Depending on exactly how "open" you have the DVD drive, if you place the oval where the center of the disk would be, somewhere at the distance of the end of the arms you should find a couple of mounting points the arms should fit into.
If you either edit your post or add a comment with the make and model of your player, we may be able to give you a more definitive answer; this is just my best guess right now.

Has two “arms” with a hole at the end of each one, a “leg” in the center that looks like it may pivot and above the center “leg”, is solid oval shape; small piece.wish I could take a pic. Please email me asap. Hate extra pieces!
