The screen goes black while the system is still on

@danj I’m unable to install any app because the screen doesn’t turn on, it’s just the fan alone that runs. I still have a feeling it could be the heat sink because the last time I had the thermal paste replaced, it worked well for few days and then back to black screen but this time I doesn’t come on, only the e fan runs.

@muchfreedom - Ok, you’ll need to use an external display then. If that fails to work you’ve have a deeper issue.

@danj 😔😔 I don’t have an external display cos I’m in school. I believe if I replace the thermal paste again, I’ll be able to use it for a while.

@muchfreedom - do you have access to a second Mac system?
