What is an F 9 error code.
I had done laundry a few days ago but during the night the washer started beeping and flashing F and then 9. There are no clothes in it but the drum is full of water. What should I do?

Hi,
What is the model number of the washer?
It may be that the drain pump is clogged that is why the tub is still full.
You may have to bail out the water as best you can and check the pump and hose etc for any blockage.

Error code F9 means there is a water pump problem and the pump is either clogged or malfunctioning. Check for something blocking the pump, and unclog it. If it’s malfunctioning you can also ask for repair help.

I had a washer like yours, it was always throwing weird codes for seemingly no reason, it finally was found out that the main board was prone to having bad connections with the wires, and re-soldering all the connector pads (actually adding a tad of solder) to each one was the fix!
Back to your problem, When a code would show up it was found to best to just unplug the washer, wait a few minutes then plug it back in. Most of the time this would be the cure for these odd codes. If the code does persist then there might actually be a problem that needs further investigation.
