Broken flex caused the phone to die?

I was opening my iPhone, when the phone was on. I think the flex cable of the screen broke, because i was seeing lines, and the display was slowly fading. Now, when i try to turn it on, there are no signs of life, I even tried mute/unmute switch, but the vibration didnt work. Is there a possibility i burned something on the motherboard? Because if only the display was broken, the vibration would work. Please help ?

Your screen has become faulty and needs to be replaced. You logic board is probably fine. Your phone will not vibrate or be recognised by your pc or mac until it is unlocked to the home screen.

tastefulsky8133,

iPhones have a very specific procedure for opening them, which includes disconnecting the battery flex before any other flex cable. Chances are very probable you may have shorted something inside the phone if you did not follow the routine. Not worry though, there is a fix available. If you are familiar with micro soldering, you could fix it yourself, if not, sending it into a capable phone repair shop that provides this service would be your best option. If on the outside chance it is not repairable, (extreme case), they should be able to retrieve any information you have on it.

But there is a catch, i didnt even unscrew any bracket, or disconnect anything, i just opened the phone using too much force, and the screen was slowly fading before it died, so im thinking, why is the whole phone not giving signs of life ?
