Does replacing the battery could cause a short circuit for motherboard

Hi guys I am very sorry for bothering you guys, I just want to ask about battery replacement.

So I live in Indonesia where they sell only the 4g version of the note 20 ultra (SM-N985F/DS). However, I got myself a note 20 ultra 5G (SM-N986B) from Singapore. Lately, I have been trying to replace my battery since it's in bad condition. So I went to a local samsung service center. At first, I was accepted since my device can use the same battery as the local note 20 ultra's battery.

However, later on, the technician called me and explained that replacing the battery with the local one might cause some issue. The technician mention about something about the different pins in the motherboard between the 2 phones (I dont really understand).

So based on that, I decided to cancel the reparation. Yet recently, I found out that both device actually use the same battery model, which is EB-BN985ABY. Thus, I am confused, does switching the battery between the 4G and the 5G version could actually cause some problem ? Can any of guys help me understand this problem?

(ps. Sorry for my grammar mistakes, english is my second language)

Here is the battery I am currenty buying, almost all websites said that it was suitable for my note20 ultra 5g.

And here is the battery used by the local note20 ultra 4g. As you can see they are identical.

youraye if the battery between those two models is truly identical then there are no issue. The wiring on the battery will be the same hence it will connect the same. Again, this will only hold true if the EB-BN985ABY is what your Samsung phone model calls for. It might help if we can see the battery (both sides) so post some good pictures of your battery with your question iFixitでの質問に画像を追加する方法

thank you for the answer. Currently, I am just looking for an OEM battery and just trying to find a third party repair shop that want to replace my battery.

So I just want to make sure that the difference in the motherboard will not cause any short circuit as long as they used the same model of battery right?

@youraye that is correct. For as long as the battery is the same model it does not matter and will not cause you any problems.
