My TV has no sound got picture on bbc1 but my remote &buttons on tv wo

My tv switches on but only getting bbc1 with no sound but the sound does come back but remote won't work or the buttons on the side of TV

Not enough info, but my first guess would be a power supply problem. Loss of a single voltage would cause functions not to work and you would not be able to select any other channel.
