GE Profile dishwasher not draining properly -
Dishwasher drain issue - cloudy water at the bottom of dishwasher after every cycle. The water does not leak outside the dishwasher. My model is GE Profile - PDWT400R30BB
I've seen a number of online videos and checked the following:
- [Filters are okay] Removed the spraying arms and checked all the filters at the bottom of the dishwasher - its all clean and there is not much debris
- [Drain flap/ Check valve?] Checked the rubber flap-like valve at the bottom of the dishwasher drain to make sure that nothing is lodged there
- [Air gap does not have debris] The dishwasher drain pipe is attached to an airgap on the sink - I checked to make sure that there is not debris in the airgap.
- [Sink and Garbage disposal are working] The dishwasher leads to my sink and connects to my garbage disposal. The sink and the garbage disposal seem to be working fine.
- [Float switch (Or whatever it is called] - This is the switch that floats up and detects whether there is water in the bottom. I hear the clicking sound every-time I press it, and according to Adam DIY (an youtube channel), we can assume that the switch is working
- [Drain hose - white corrugated hose] - I removed the white corrugated hose where it attaches to the sink and snaked it - nothing was blocking it.
Information about the drain pump - I noticed that when I start the dishwater, it initially runs a drain cycle, and pushes some water (mostly clear water) into the drain and it comes out through this corrugated hose. So the pump is kinda working.
But even after that I see water at the bottom of the dishwasher
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
