hi there, I am looking forward to put a 2011 lvds connector on a mid-2012 MacBook Pro 15 a1286, but the connectors don’t look the same.
i have seen on eBay that these are interchangeable, is that true please?

If you are trying to swap out the 2011 logic board with a 2012 logic board, all you need to do is make a very slight modification to the 2011 LVDS cable so that it can plugs into the 2012 logic board using nothing more than a fingernail file!

Hi, because I want to put a 2011 lcd on my 2012 MacBook, and because it is the only connector I have got my hands on. I checked and the spare connexions on the motherboard are ground, it seems to be ok, please let me know what you think of it

@yanndetrie - Review my answer below, you don't need any parts! Just a slight modification to the 2011 displays LVDS cable.
I often replace dead 2011 logic boards with 2012 boards and this is all I need to do to get the older display to work. I too prefer the matte hires display!
